RunSocial GPS is a free app designed for Social Running Events that take place outdoors. All you need is your mobile device and the RunSocial GPS app. Here are the easy steps to join a RunSocial Event:

1. First, make sure you are registered for our Stronger Families Safer Kids 5K as a virtual runner so your efforts help support and protect children and families.

2. Next, download the RunSocial GPS app in the Google Play or Apple Store. Just click on the links and follow the instructions for download.

3. Create a free account with an email and a password in the RunSocial GPS app.

4. With the app open on your device search for the Stronger Families Safer Kids 5K public event or click on the link: LINK AVAILABLE SOON! (By clicking this link you will be able to join the event).

5. You will receive an email confirming that you have joined the event successfully.

6. Be ready to run on the day and time of the event. Once the countdown timer ends you can click to start your run.

7. The app will keep track of your distance and will stop tracking once you've completed the 5k.

8. Click done to see your time!

 

You will receive an email after the event which shows your time and placement in the virtual event. (You can view participants and leaderboard by clicking the arrow on the map if you want to see them live during the event-see image below).
